Lila Schwenk has had a passion for writing since she was a teenager. She dabbled at it over the years until in the 1990’s when she took a class at a local college. She knew that her joy of writing needed to be explored on a regular basis. She later connected with Kathie Giorgio, who was teaching a class at that time through the Parks and Recreation Department in Waukesha, WI.
That was fourteen years ago and Lila has been going full speed ever since, even while working fulltime. Now retired, Lila has completed her first book, along with numerous short stories. Lila is a member of the Wisconsin Writers’ Association. She also belongs to the AllWriters’ Workplace and Workshop in Waukesha, WI, headed by international published author, Kathie Giorgio.
Outside of pursing her writing, Lila enjoys collecting carousel horse miniatures, enjoying her garden, reading, playing with fuzzy animals of all sorts and, most importantly, spending time with family. Lila lives with her husband, Bill, in Waukesha.
